The Kite Family Photography Project is a record of photographs that link the past family history to the present moment. The original photographs date back as far as 1930 and as early as the 1980s to the 1990s. The photograph of the original photograph was taken in the current time of 2012.
The photographs were taken on The Kite Family Farm, located in the south eastern part of Nemaha County, in Auburn, Nebraska. I am the fifth generation in the history of my family farm.
The photographs show how a landscape and an architectural form many change or not change over decades of time. This project not only feeds my desire to remember a time that I may have never experienced and to reminiscence on moments I participated in, but to present a respect I have for my family heritage.
